Wild Wise Woman
Wild Wise Woman is a contemporary women's mystery school. The name reflects an intuitive knowing that in order to truly live your womanhood you need a wild and a wise part. Our focus is on women who have done their share of spiritual training and are now ready to find their own track. We offer workshops and three one-year courses following up on one another, all based on an intense earthly and spiritual path. Through initiations , rituals, healings and dance you embark on a timeless mystical journey.
It's in your genes
First wild and wise, then woman
The concept of the wild wise woman seems to be etched in our genes. For this image is already found in ancient Egyptian myth. There the Goddess Hathor represents magnetic, heart-warming and sensual femininity. To reach her you need to travel an eventful road taking you past the earthly Goddess Sechmet, half lion half woman. In order not to perish from her you need the Goddess Maat, She who knows the rhythms and natural cycles of life and shows you the way. Sechmet, Maat and Hathor... the wild, the wise and the woman. 5000 years ago this sacred feminine trinity was already known.
Estés re-introduces the wild wise woman
Surrendered and passionate
The popularity of the book Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés proves that this ancient wisdom still goes. In the book the archetype of the wild wise woman is introduced. The book explains brilliantly how this concept can help you find a way to a surrendered and passionate life as a woman. Wild Wise Woman was founded in 1995 by giving courses based on this masterpiece by Estés. Our name is chosen as a tribute to the book.
