Wild Wise Woman in Egypt 2010

I travel to the heat and light of Egypt with one of my students. I feel I need to take the training program to this place and want to check it out. How much of the sacred feminine is still lingering here? In the land of the desert and the Nile I enjoy how people live like a bee swarm: one big breathing organism. Manifestating your dreams is easy and we quickly drop into the flow. This opens us for what will follow.
Because I discover that hieroglyphs are not only for the mind. They are symbols of the soul, that work directly on your system. Two of the hieroglyphs that are repeated most are the snake and the ankh. Walking in between them becomes a mystical experience in itself. I realize how strongly the sacred feminine was in the lives of the ancient Egypts, and am awed to be giving this experience of breathing it in.
What also strikes me is the wisdom that the sacred feminine first shows her wild and dark face before she gives of her beauty and fertility. For instance in the myths of Sechmet, Maat and Hathor. Sechmet the wild lioness Goddess is the one who opens the way. She is welcomed by Maat the Goddess who knows of measure- welcomed and tempered. Then the path opens for Hathor, Goddess of honey and the spark in your eyes.
I feel moved and supported in my knowing that lead me to choose the name of my training program: Wild Wise Woman. You need the wild and the wise to become fully woman.
