Module 4: the Threshold

The sun rises, darkness draws away. We call in the 4 directions and I call in Hestia, Goddess of Hearth and home. We dance and rattle and it feels fiery. Then the challenge comes. I see the first women diving into it and I shiver. I won't be able to do this! As I think this thought, the inner refrain starts: ‘so much other things to do'.
Every time a woman meets the challenge my fear grows bigger. Each one is beautiful the way she does it. I feel tears of fear, pride, being moved, all together. I think my moment has come, but then I realize that I come from will power. I wait some more and immediately my inner chant kicks in ‘so many other things to do'.
And then a wonder happens. One woman openly shares her fear she won't be able to it. She moves through it. And succeeds. She opens to me a new way to meet my fear: not overruling it with will power, but allowing it. I trust the process, sigh a sigh of deep release, and let a primal sound come. The word that comes is: acceptance. And wow, I did it! It was easy.
I raise my arms and pivot joyfully. The sun has just broken through the clouds and illuminates my face. This surrender to unknown powers makes me euphoric. I hug the whole group.
