Diary Retreat 5: Threefold Goddess

I journey to a time long ago, to ancient rituals where the Goddess was close, one with the world and with all aspects of life.In trance I sense the rhythm of the drums, I dance, dance with the fire, earth and night, with the snakes who gradually become one with me as I become one with them. I feel homesick already as I end my journey and slowly come back. As we go outside, dancing on barefeet, I notice how tender the daylight welcomes me. I feel joy again, joy over our ritual. i walk into the sunlight. I stand still. the light brings the last lingering parts of me back to the present time in which we may all recover again these ancient powers.
