Goddess Ishtar: the secret behind love

Two weeks ago I was in Paris for the next step on my path as a teacher of Sat Nam Rasayan, an ancient and profound healing method. During a free morning I took the opportunity to go to the Louvre, in search of a famous statue of the Goddess Ishtar. The little statue portrays a sensuous woman, who radiantly offers her breasts. Itis around 3000 years old and comes from the middle east. In my search I dwelt through the many archeological rooms in the Louvre. To my surprie I discovered that the same archetypecould be found in many of the rooms! It had already been made as far back as 6000 years ago and through the milennia it keep returning.
Even now: after i left the museum I sat outside in the sun, chatting with a young Japanese woman. Before us were modern statues, and suddenly I recognized the Ishtar pose: a young woman proudly wearing her breasts, her hands open just below them and offering three round juicy apples.
Woman with breasts, statues form the Middle East and Europe in the famous Ishtar pose from around 6000, 3000, 2200 and 1800 years ago and present time. The second from the left is the original Ishtar.
What does this archetype have to say to us? To me she is the symbol of the secret behind love: daring to enjoy the most vulnerable parts of yourself, knowing that you are beautiful just the way you are, and meeting others from this place, without veiling anything.
