For me but one way out

You talk about your stuff, you do your homework- and still the problems in your relationship rise. When they go underground things go well on the surface- but phantasies around lovers have an irresistible shine, or you guide all your sexual energy into your work. And then suddenly the bomb drops. The climate turns over, what used to be tropics are now a flat sea where icebergs sail. Of course you can quickly say that your partner had too many faults and it would never have worked- but your heart knows otherwise. Here is an opening.
For me but one way out

I think I know
who I am,
who you are,
what we do
and what we are about.
And then suddenly
you plunge a stick into the wheel
All my anger and disappointentment burst free
How could I be so blind?!
Again and again the sword turns in my wound.
There is for me but one way out
it asks for courage and demurity
Becoming aware that I do not know
but that I strung a safety net.
Allowing cracks to appear.
Now that the pieces of the jigsaw drop apart
through the splits
the infinte light shines through
from the place where your being and mine are one
There was no hand
that stuck the stick into the wheel.
I quench my thirst with loads of fluid gold with diamonds.
