Waddenlicht: from darkness to light

Will I be able to connect myself with the power spot? With this question I sit on the ferry to Schiermonnikoog, the smallest of the islands before the Dutch coast. I am on my way to Waddenlicht, which translates as 'Light of the Wadden islands'. Core program will be a vast ritual in 3 rounds, on 6 power spots and with 120 people. I will be guiding the rituals on one of the spots, and I know that everything depends on whether I will be able to connect myself to this place. So my first visit is to this piece of the island. It is the most western point of the island. She shows herself with bright light, but a dark cloud hovers above. I recognize the energy that other facilitators have reported earlier: there is much light and potential on this island, but darkness is preventing it to flow freely. This manifestation makes me curious. I look around and realize that here the smaller Waddensea and the bigger North Sea meet. Through hefty currents they are in constant exchange. Water and land too meet here, and they too are in dynamic exchange. What a beautiful metaphor: the extremes touch, and through there continuous exchange this landscape comes into being. The elements move around freely. Space, risk, wild beauty. Relieved I admit that I recognize myself in this image. I connect myself to her. Then I am being shown a new image: a woman with child and two dogs, trustingly they walk toward the light. Symbol of what shall be?
